We will once again take over the walls of Chapter One Coffee & Tea (30 City Hall Place) for a one day show.
Stop by between 7am-5pm to buy some cat art and support local artists and the Elmore SPCA
As a young child, McBeardie was lucky enough to be pen pals with his favorite painter, Donato Giancola. This experience made the creation of great art feel accessible.
Obsessed with spreading this feeling to others, he later discovered and recreated a device that the Dutch Old Masters may have used to achieve their realism. He has applied his invention across various media, ranging from acrylic paint to meticulously-arranged dice and pushpins, and he hopes to share his unconventional methods with a wider audience in the near future.
For his fourth consecutive Cat Art Show, McBeardie is venturing into new media and is excited to share these pieces with his beloved Plattsburgh. He dedicates this year’s display to his cats, Nux and Paul. McBeardie is bad at social media, but you can always find his best work on shelf 22 at Old Soul.
