Weebly, Wix, and Squarespace all offer website builders that allow users to create their online presence and are some of the most popular options on the market. But which one should you choose?
Choosing the right website builder can be challenging. It’s important to consider what you want to do with the site and how much time you have to invest in building it. If you don’t have enough money to hire local web designers, these platforms can allow you to make a professional do-it-yourself site. This article walks you through some of your options and considerations.
Here’s a quick comparison of the three services.
Squarespace provides templates for every type of business, including blogs, portfolios, e-commerce stores, and more. Moreover, the company offers to host its sites and provide customer support for all of its customers.
The company was founded in 2003 and had been providing services to over 2 million customers ever since.
Wix is a website builder that enables anyone to create professional-looking websites. It has tools for designing, hosting, and managing websites. It also provides an online store builder.
This platform lets users build sites using a simple interface. It supports more than 100 languages and 50 file formats. Users can choose from various pre-designed templates for different types of businesses.
Dragging and dropping text, photos, graphics, and videos is easy. They also have access to a library of widgets and apps. They have Editor X, which is helpful for designers familiar with Webflow design.
The company was founded in 2006 by Avishai Abrahami, Nadav Abrahami, Giora Kaplan, and Moshe Rozenblum. It is headquartered in Tel Aviv with offices in San Francisco, New York City, Berlin, London, and Shanghai. The company has over 100 million users worldwide.
Weebly is a website builder that allows you to build and manage your website without technical skills. It is ideal for those who want their online presence but do not have the time or the skill set required to build one from scratch.
This platform is designed for non-technical users who must create a professional-looking website. It comes with a set of ready-to-go templates and a drag-and-dropper editor. Users can upload files directly from their computers or import existing ones.
Out of the three editors, this is the one I would not recommend. The user interface is challenging to use and not as intuitive as the other two builders.
Summary: Squarespace Vs. Wix Vs. Weebly
There are several differences between Squarespace, Wix, and Weebly. I find Squarespace, the easiest platform for a novice website builder. Wix is a good option for someone with basic website experience. However, I would advise all users against using Weebly. It’s honestly a pain in the neck, and the other two options are best for a small business trying to choose between Squarespace, Wix, and Weebly.
